In the most exclusive area of the city, on a quiet street on Campo Sant'Angelo in San Marco, is Ca' della Commedia. This apartment is owned by one of the Venetian families that have most influenced the history of Italian coffee and roasting.
Recently renovated and tastefully decorated, this apartment is located on the second floor of a pre-nineteenth century building and boasts one of the most desirable locations in Venice: at a centrepoint of the lively Rialto district to the north and the beating heart of San Marco to the south.
Ca' della Commedia is a perfect union of Venice’s classical architecture and the aesthetic and functional design of the apartment’s furnishings. Classic elements such as wooden beams and door jambs are enhanced by refined and modern design elements and a curated selection of paintings and furnishings.
The exposed beams, the fine wood flooring and the large windows make the space comfortable, harmonious and sophisticated. The living area includes a concealed kitchen with light colours and equipped with dishwasher, fridge, stove and microwave, two sofas (one of which can be used as an extra bed) and a dining table with chairs. The sleeping area includes two double bedrooms, each with closets, bedside tables and lamps. The apartment has two modern bathrooms, both with a shower, and one has a washer-dryer. All rooms are air conditioned and the windows have mosquito screens (a unique feature in Venice!)
Location:
The apartment is located near Campo Sant'Angelo in the San Marco district. The city's major attractions are within walking distance: the Teatro La Fenice, the Palazzo Fortuny and the Scala Contarini del Bovolo are all a 2 minute walk away. St. Mark's Square with its famous Basilica, the majestic Campanile and the sumptuous Doge Palace are a 5 minute walk away.
The house is a few minutes from the two vaporetto (water bus) stops of Sant'Angelo and San Samuele, which allow you to comfortably move around the city and reach the main terminals. Also within easy reach are the two gondola-ferry stations that cross the Grand Canal: at Rialto the gondola connects Riva del Carbon (San Marco side) with Riva del Vin (San Silvestro side), while at San Marco it connects Calle del Tragheto near Sant'Angelo-San Marco with San Tomà. Near the apartment you will also find supermarkets, pharmacies, stores of all kinds, restaurants, taverns and pizzerias.
